New Camera!

My new camera came in the mail Tuesday! :D I’m so excited! For those who don’t know, my previous camera was being held together with duct tape and rubber bands. I’ve been using my mom’s camera since late last year so that I had a more reliable and better camera but it is still hers and with getting married in 93 days, I knew I wanted a new one so I could return hers.

So after a little research, browsing at Best Buy, seeing how they felt, stalking Amazon.com, and a little coaxing/reasoning/permission from my wonderful fiancé, I made the investment.

Isn’t it awesome! It’s a Nikon Coolpix P100 with 10.3 megapixels and 26x optical zoom.

The moveable screen was a big thing on my list of “wants” in a new camera along with the higher optical zoom and a good number of megapixels. I’m definitely not ready to go the SLR route so I stuck to the point-and-shoot varieties.

I’m seriously excited to start using it. I charged it last night and have to finish doing the setup and leafing through the manual. I also need to pull my photos off my mom’s camera so she can have hers back as well. :) Love my new camera! Can’t wait to share photos with you!
